Local Search Engine Optimization is not hard if you know where to start. We have discussed a few tactics in past issues, but this is one of the biggest must do’s and it is a free one. Getting listed with Google Maps requires verification by mail or phone after you complete an online application process. Once you are verified, you will be listed within 4-6 weeks in the “Local Listings” area of the Search Engine Results Page. The link to Google Maps will take you to where you need to start.
